Irokko arrives in France to offset carbon through trees with forestry cooperatives
Irokko continues its expansion, officially launching its carbon offset program in France in partnership with a network of local forestry cooperatives planting Goldstandard-certified trees.
This expansion lets French users calculate their carbon footprint directly from the app and fund reforestation projects close to home, with the same tracking and verification already in place for Irokko’s sites in Quebec.
“Every tree planted is a concrete, verifiable answer to climate change — not just a promise,” the Irokko team said at the launch.
The program is part of Irokko’s broader strategy: democratizing the fight against climate change by combining citizen power with digital technology.
