How it works
From emission to offset
The IPCC estimates CO2 emissions need to be halved relative to 2010 levels. Under the Paris Agreement, Quebec, Canada, and France are already rolling out policies for annual GHG reduction: since 2013, Quebec companies emitting more than 25,000 tonnes of GHGs must complete a carbon audit; in France, that obligation applies to companies with 500 employees or more.
